How to clean the bore

Plug the touch hole with a toothpick. Pour cold water into the bore about 1/3 of the way up. Put your thumb over the muzzle and slosh the water around, keeping it off the stock because it will stain. Keep going until the patches come out clean, then follow with a lubricant and a couple more patches.
