Germanic flintlock: How did it develop?

The Germanic Flintlock is still planned for production. While focus has recently been on kits, there are plans to produce this lock and eventually use it on future kit models copied from original guns. Additionally, a plain 'barn gun' kit based on a North Carolina original is currently in development and will be available soon as a more affordable option.
