Kibler's Longrifles Knowledge Base

Why does the Hawken kit differ visually from many original Hawken rifles?

Many original Hawken rifles have a large, bulky lock and breech area paired with a noticeably thin buttstock, giving the impression of two different guns joined together. Kibler's evened out the mass across the rifle, using a slightly more graceful barrel and adjusting the stock proportions so it looks and feels like one cohesive design.
