Why does most of the wood Kibler's buys arrive green rather than pre-dried?
Most of the wood is bought green because it is easier to source consistent quality logs that way, though some pre-dried wood is purchased when available. The green wood is then dried down to around 15 percent moisture, either outside in a covered area or indoors with dehumidifiers running.
