Kibler's Longrifles Knowledge Base

What type of rifling process does Kibler's use for its small caliber barrels?

Kibler's uses single point cut rifling, which is the traditional method for muzzleloading rifle barrels, rather than button rifling, broaching, or hammer forging. The process is done on a Haas TL2, which is a standard CNC lathe rather than a dedicated rifling machine, and the machine's C-axis is used to both rotate the barrel and index the cutter.
