Why doesn't my ramrod fit into the ramrod pipes or the hole in the stock?

Ramrods vary slightly in size and are not perfectly uniform, so the ramrod often needs to be scraped or sanded down to fit the ramrod pipes and the stock. This is a normal part of the building process. Do not drill out the hole in the stock to fit an oversized rod, since that can cause real problems.
