Kibler's Longrifles Knowledge Base

Why does the box lid on a rifle sometimes not match the color of the rest of the stock?

When making kits, Kibler's tries to select the box lid wood from the same piece as the rest of the stock, but that is not always possible, so they use similar wood when they can't. If the color still doesn't match well enough for a builder's taste, it can be adjusted afterward using aniline dyes, such as TransTint, or premixed dyes sold by Laurel Mountain Forge.
