Kibler's Longrifles Knowledge Base

Why does my stock have a small mineral streak or blemish even though it's graded as a good stock?

Kibler's grades stocks by judging whether an imperfection will show up or be noticeable in the finished rifle, drawing on experience from making high end custom guns. A very small blemish, like an eighth-inch mineral streak, can appear on an otherwise excellent, dense, highly figured stock and does not necessarily indicate a grading mistake.
