Kibler's Longrifles Knowledge Base

Why did Kibler's switch from cast buttplates to machined buttplates on the Woodsrunner?

Castings vary in size and shape, which makes them tricky to inlet well, especially for builders without a lot of experience. Machining the buttplate makes it much more consistent in size and shape, so it fits onto the stock with little or no wood removal.
