Why did Kibler's choose to have a custom screw maker produce the wood screws for the toe plate and patch box?
Good quality screws are hard to find commercially since threads are often poor and slots are wide and shallow. Kibler's had its screw machine company (the one that makes lock screws) turn these wood screws instead, which cost several times more than commercial screws but have sharp threads and precise, narrow slots that hold much better.
