What is a touch hole liner made of and does the material matter?
Liners are made of either stainless steel or carbon steel. Stainless steel resists erosion and burnout so the flash hole stays close to its original size longer, while a carbon steel liner will color to match the rest of a browned or blued barrel so its presence is not visible.
