How is the under rib attached on the Hawken rifle kit?
The Hawken's under rib is hollow and lightweight, machined out, and held on with screws that go into threaded holes in the bottom of the barrel. The ramrod pipes are soldered to the under rib before the builder receives it, and then the assembly is screwed onto the barrel.
