How does the set trigger on the Southern Mountain Rifle work?
The rifle can be fired by simply pulling the front trigger, but this requires a much heavier pull to release the lock. To use the set trigger, the rear trigger is pulled back first, which loads the triggers, after which only a small amount of force on the front trigger is needed to release the rear trigger and trip the lock's sear.
