Should I add a brass piece to the end of the patch box?
Kibler's includes a piece of brass in the kit for builders who want to add it to the end of the patch box, but recommends against it unless you are familiar with that kind of work. A poorly done brass tip usually looks worse than having no brass piece at all, even though some original rifles did have it.
