Why do investment cast trigger guards vary in length and fit?
Because the trigger guard is a long part, and investment castings can vary somewhat in size, Kibler's fits the inlet on the conservative side. Variations are corrected during fitting, for example by tapping the finial down and trimming it, or by hitting the finial area to drive it back into place, since it will bend the bow of the guard rather than just move a single point.
