Is Kibler's finish historically accurate?
The finish used is tung oil based, which is not strictly historically accurate since tung oil was not common during the colonial period, when most finishes were linseed oil based. In practical use though, tung oil and linseed oil are difficult to tell apart once applied to a rifle.
