How tight should a ramrod fit in the stock and pipes?

The rod should slide in but not be so tight that seasonal changes cause problems, since oil or humidity can make a rod that is already snug become too tight over time. It is worth sizing the rod with a bit of clearance rather than fitting it as tight as possible.
