Kibler's Longrifles Knowledge Base

How many times can I shoot a muzzleloader before I need to clean the barrel?

This varies a lot depending on how you shoot, the products used, ball size, and patch thickness. Using a fairly tight patch and ball and continuing to push fouling down ahead of the next load lets some shooters go a long time between cleanings, while others prefer to run a cleaning patch through after every shot. There is no single fixed number of shots before cleaning is required.
