How is the touch hole liner installed and finished?
The threaded liner is screwed into the side of the barrel using vice grips until snug, then cut off close with a hacksaw using the groove in the liner as a guide for the blade. The remaining stub is then draw filed flush with the barrel surface, focusing only on the liner itself until it is close, then blending it level with the surrounding metal.
