How does Kibler's make parts like trigger guards and butt plates?
Complex shapes such as trigger guards and butt plates are made using investment casting, also called wax casting, because machining these irregular shapes directly would be impractical and cost prohibitive. A master pattern is used to make a mold, wax is injected into the mold to create a wax piece for each casting, and those wax pieces are sent to a foundry to be cast in metal.
