How do you square up the ends of a ramrod pipe inlet on the Southern Mountain Rifle?
The inlet ends are cut with a ball nose tool that leaves a slight radius in the corners, while the pipe itself is square at the ends. A small chisel, such as a 1/16 inch or 1/8 inch flat chisel, is used to true up that radius so the pipe seats flush against the inlet.
