How do you pin the ramrod tip in place?

Drill a hole through the tip and tenon using roughly a number 50 drill bit or a 1/16 inch bit, insert the provided finishing nail as a pin, and trim it so only a small amount sticks out each side. Lightly countersink both ends of the hole, then peen the pin over with a ball peen hammer against a solid surface like a vise, and file it flush.
