How do I trim and finish a pin after installing it?
Mark the pin where you want to cut it, pull it out while twisting, trim it a little below the mark with side cutters, then file the end square and add a slight rounded lead on the corner. This rounded end keeps the pin from chipping the stock as it goes in and out.
