How do I know how much free play the set triggers should have against the sear?
Pull the hammer to full cock and check the free play at the tip of the trigger, aiming for roughly a sixteenth of an inch, possibly up to around 85 thousandths, on both the front and rear triggers. This play ensures there is no pressure on the sear from the triggers unless the shooter intends to fire.
