How do I disassemble a Hawken lock if the bridle will not budge?
The bridle is held by pins into the lock plate. Take the lock apart as far as possible, remove the bridle screws, then tap the outside of the cock so it pushes the tumbler up against the bridle and pops it off. A small piece of wood can also be used carefully as a wedge to help lift it off.
