How are ramrod pipes pinned in place on the Southern Mountain Rifle?
Each pipe is clamped into its inlet, and the existing pilot hole is spotted through the pipe to mark the stock before drilling the rest of the way. The pins are then driven through, keeping track of which way each pin faces since flipping them may cause a poor fit.
