Do you need to soften the edges of the barrel flats after draw filing?
After draw filing the flats, it helps to run the file down the corners to soften the sharp edge slightly. Some original barrels have very sharp corners, but a slightly broken or softened edge is more common and is fine to do, including at the muzzle where a light chamfer can be added.
