I accidentally dry-fired the lock without a flint, did I damage anything?
Never snap a flintlock without a flint and the frizzen closed. This puts all the impact energy directly on the cock and plate with no resistance and can cause deformation. If this happened, send the lock back and we'll inspect and repair at no charge.
