Would there be any problems with a kit being stored for a bit until I get to it?
It should be fine if you just store it in your house. If you want to be extra careful, you could fit the barrel in place. This only takes a few minutes and would help make sure the forestock doesn't change shape or bow. It's not likely to happen, but this is extra insurance.
