Which stock finish should I use, Permalyn, Tried and True, or other?
Both work well. If using Permalyn, use the sealer. Tried and True is more traditional but requires longer dry time between coats (sometimes 24-48 hours). The most important rule with any oil finish: thin coats, full cure between each coat, and 0000 steel wool rub-out between coats.
