Tang bolt
A bolt that passes down through the tang and threads into the trigger plate, holding the rear of the barrel in the stock. Most kits use one tang bolt. The Southern Mountain Rifle has a forward and a rear tang bolt. On the J.K. Hawken the two tang bolts pass through the standing breech, and the longer one goes nearest the breech.
