Patchbox

A storage compartment set into the buttstock, used to hold items such as flints or patches. Also called the box. The Woodsrunner has a wooden sliding box lid, and the Colonial offers one as an option. The J.K. Hawken patchbox and inlay package uses a hinged metal lid and surround set into the side of the buttstock.
