J.K. Hawken Rifle Kit with Patchbox and Inlays — General Order of Assembly

Assemble the kit in the following order. Each step is described in detail in the sections that follow.

1. Fit standing breech to stock

2. Install trigger and guard assembly

3. Install nose cap

4. Install underlugs and sights in barrel

5. Fit barrel to stock

6. Install key inlays and keys

7. Install entry pipe

8. Install lock bolt washer

9. Install the lock

10. Check wood clearance for the lock’s moving parts

11. Adjust triggers

12. Adjust buttplate fit if necessary

13. Install toe plate

14. Install ramrod tip

15. Install patchbox and inlays

16. Finish metal

17. Finish wood
