Appalachian Barn Gun Kit (Percussion) — General Order of Assembly

Assemble the kit in the following order. Each step is described in detail in the sections that follow.

1. Install underlugs

2. Fit barrel and tang to stock, then pin the underlugs

3. Install lock

4. Check wood clearance for the lock’s moving parts

5. Install trigger plate and trigger

6. Install guard

7. Install ramrod pipes

8. Install sights

9. Install ramrod tip

10. Check hammer and nipple alignment

11. Finish metal

12. Finish wood
