USE BLACK POWDER ONLY. NEVER USE SMOKELESS POWDER. Smokeless powder can cause your gun to explode.

• Wear eye protection whenever you are filing, drilling, or peening.

• Never put a percussion cap on the nipple while you fit and test the lock. Only trip the lock once it is installed in the stock with the barrel in place, and keep your hands out of the hammer’s travel path (see Step 3 and Lock Care and Use).

• Treat the assembled firearm as loaded at all times and follow all applicable firearm safety rules and local laws.
