Southern Mountain Rifle Kit — General Order of Assembly

Assemble the kit in the following order. Each step is described in detail in the sections that follow.

1. Fit barrel and tang to stock

2. Drill underlug pin holes

3. Install the buttplate

4. Install the lock

5. Check wood clearance for the lock’s moving parts

6. Install the double set trigger

7. Install the guard

8. Install ramrod pipes

9. Install sights

10. Install ramrod tip

11. Finish metal

12. Finish wood
