Tap the ramrod tip onto the ramrod. Using a #50 drill, carefully drill through the tip and ramrod. Slightly countersink each side of this hole. Insert the provided finish nail into the hole, cut it to length, and then gently peen the ends to lock the tip in place. File the ends flush.
The supplied ramrod is largest at the end opposite the end cut for the tip. Sand the rod so the wood is flush with the tip and the rod fits in place. The rod should be flush with the muzzle. Alternatively, scraping can be used to adjust the rod.
