Kibler Fowler Kit — Step 4: Installing the Buttplate

The buttplate will be installed when you receive the kit. The fit will be at least 95%, but you may find it necessary to adjust the fit slightly. In that case, use transfer color to locate the high contact spots and shave or scrape them down with a sharp chisel until the desired fit is achieved.

Most builders will find the supplied fit to be very good; some may prefer a slight adjustment.
