Colonial American Longrifle Kit — Step 2: Installing the Trigger Plate and Trigger

• The trigger plate should fit the inlet with very little fitting. After squaring up the small rounded corners of the inlet, the plate should fit in place.

• Secure the plate and tang by installing the tang bolt from the tang side, threading it into the trigger plate. The tang and trigger plate are already drilled and tapped for this bolt.

• Install the small wood screw in the back of the plate. Drill a small pilot hole first.

• Pin the trigger in place through the pre-drilled hole in the stock and trigger.
