Colonial American Longrifle Kit — Before You Begin

This kit is designed so that the parts require little fitting and the major inletting is already done for you. Read through the entire manual before starting so you understand the order of operations. Work slowly, remove material a little at a time, and check your fit often. You can always remove more wood or metal, but you cannot put it back.

Some parts, including the patchbox (box lid, catch spring, and brass), are included only if you purchased the patchbox option. If your kit does not include a patchbox, skip Step 5.
