Staining with aniline dyes

We recommend Trans-Tint and Dangler's aniline dyes. These stains can be used on their own or on top of iron nitrate to achieve certain colors. You can even dip your scotch brite pad in a little of your finishing oil, then the dye, and rub it on the stock that way. Staining is a matter of preference, and it takes some experimentation to get the look you want. If you mess up or hate the result, you can sand the stain back off with sandpaper wrapped around a file or wooden block.
