What are the differences between Tried & True Varnish Oil and Kibler Sealer/Finish?
Tried & True takes longer to dry between coats, putting it out in the sunshine helps a lot. You should plan on applying at least 4 coats, making sure to dry fully between coats. It may take 3 to 4 days to dry between coats. This will give you a nice finish that is not as shiny as permalyn. You can cut 50/50 with turpentine if you want it thinner but you do not have to. Kibler Sealer/Finish is made by us and also sold on our website. Put only one coat in the inlets, making sure that you use a paintbrush or something to get it out of all the small areas where it may tend to pool. You can plan on applying at least 4-5 coats, but it really is up to your own taste. This dries a little shinier, but you can also use pumice powder to rub back the shine a little. It dries faster than tried and true, but you still need to make sure it is dry before you apply the next coat. You can use scotch brite to apply them both.
